Today I intended to take the test associated with the state job for which I'm applying. There appeared to be two test versions, one for the certified disabled applicants and the regular test for everyone else. I clicked on the former and discovered that it wasn't a test at all: There were simply three questions about the amount of job-related experience and education applicants have. I entered a number of months and a number of college credits and was then informed that I'd earned a score of 95%. It was weird and anti-climatic. I'd been expecting to take the same 75-minute test that non-LEAP applicants take.

There is so much shit to read pertaining to state jobs that I wasn't aware that LEAP applicants don't need to take tests; we're asked about having the minimum qualifications, and, if hired, are given a sort of probationary period during which we are allowed to demonstrate our ability to perform job duties.

I thought I'd take the regular test anyhow, but I called some office or other associated with hiring, and the information I was given suggested that taking the test wouldn't help me get hired. Maybe I will take it anyways.

I stopped taking the cornstarch before bed even though it kept my blood sugar from crashing because I started sleeping less the same day I started taking it. Last night was my first night without it since starting. I still slept less than usual, and my blood sugar did not crash. I don't know what's going on. My blood sugar got a bit low without crashing on half a cup of cornstarch, so I tried taking a whole cup of cornstarch. It was a horrible thing to choke down, and I still underslept, so I gave up. Maybe my blood sugar is stabilizing to the point that I no longer need cornstarch at night. What's more important is fixing my insomnia. I thought low blood sugar was the culprit, but that seems to not be the case.
