Melatonin not putting me to sleep anymore
Dec. 2nd, 2021 11:58 pmTook nearly a full dose of my new EAAs today and, though I feel better than I did yesterday, I still don't feel as energetic as I'd like to feel. Not energetic enough to study or do yoga, like I used to do in the evenings. So I guess I'll start taking a full dose, at least on my heavy lifting days.
I'm happy with my diet; my body is getting to where I want it to be without my feeling terribly hungry.
Today was a rather unproductive day. I would like to get up earlier so that I can do more during the day, but I'm afraid of how much worse I'll feel if I get less rest. Even when I lie in bed without sleeping in the morning, I feel better than I do when I get up shortly after awakening. Plus, it's physically difficult to drag myself out of the sleeping bag even an hour after I wake up.
3 mg of melatonin no longer puts me to sleep, apparently. I messaged the doctor who prescribed the melatonin for me and asked for a higher dose. I'm expecting to have trouble with that even though melatonin is an OTC pharmaceutical.
I need electrolytes all the time now, and they are going to really eat into my food budget. They're kinda expensive, being just some minerals and fruit flavoring.
